Ernest Ranglin Live at High Sierra Music Festival 2011 The first two and a half or so minutes were recorded on the Meadow stage on 7/2 using a Nikon Coolpix S9100 which has superior video clarity but inferior muffled sound and the rest was recorded at the Playshop on 7/3 using a JVC Everio Camcorder which gets superior sound but not as good video clarity. Ernest Ranglin (born June 19, 1932 in Manchester, Jamaica) is a Jamaican guitarist and composer. Best known for his session work at the famed Studio One, Ranglin helped give birth to the ska genre in the late 1950s. Some credit Ranglin with the invention of the core style of guitar play (sometimes known as "scratching") found in nearly all ska music
