The Grass is Greener

grass picThere's a popular expression that "the grass is greener on the other side", however I love the new perspective I read recently that the grass is greener where you water it! I simply LOVE that!

In other words, where we spend our energy, effort and enthusiasm has the biggest potential to produce admirable possibilities and gain. We're all sowing seeds whether we're aware of it or not. Some seeds have gotten limited to no nourishment and have failed to grow to its full potential. Other seeds have benefited from the time, passion and care we've given to it and have garnered attention and admiration from bystanders and onlookers. In fact, some individuals may even be envious of the beauty exhibited from your crop.

Some may argue there are those gifted with a 'green thumb' and while I won't argue the possible truth in that, I will support the fact that if indeed we water the grass, it has potential to grow. If we don't water the grass, it is likely to whither and die. This is true of relationships, projects, dreams, tasks, you name it. We can start a relationship, a dream project or a new resolution, yet, without providing the proper time, attention and work, it has the potential to fail or just simply die.

It's never too late to re-evaluate our personal 'green' patch. Water it and let it grow. Close attention will reveal potential harmful weeds or indications of the need to start over. Where ever you are in the process, just remember, the potential of growth is most often in front of you and not on the other side.

Have a blessed day.
